Urban Renewal Agency (URA) is seeking volunteers to serve on this board. If you are interested or would like more information please visit www.cityoflaramie.org/ura. Members must reside within the areas of operation of the agency and demonstrate knowledge of community planning, urban renewal, and business management. 

Board responsibilities: 

  • Eliminate and prevent the development or spread of slums and urban blight
  • Encourage needed urban rehabilitation
  • Provide for the redevelopment of slum and blighted areas
  • Prevent the spread of blight through diligent enforcement of housing, zoning and occupancy controls and standards
  • Rehabilitate or conserve slums/blighted areas through replanning, providing public improvements, and encouraging voluntary rehabilitation
