The Northwest College Intercultural Programs will be celebrating Pakistan Resolution Day on Thursday, March 23 with a presentation on the country’s history as well as lunch featuring authentic Pakistani cuisine. The event is free and open to the public.

The event begins at noon in the Intercultural House, located at 565 College Drive in Powell, and will be led by Pakistani student Om Kumar Lohana, who is attending NWC as a scholarship recipient through the Global Undergraduate Exchange Program in his native country. The day is a national holiday in Pakistan to commemorate the ratification of their first constitution, establishing their independence from India and becoming the world’s first Islamic republic.

It borders the nations of Afghanistan, Iran, India and China, as well as the Arabian Sea in South Asia.
