Neighborhood Street Repair Update

Neighborhood Street Repair Update
0Comments

Twenty-four neighborhood streets have a new look, thanks to the City’s partnership with Andale Construction, which recently completed the high-density mineral bond treatment. Thank you to all the residents who helped make this project happen by cooperating with parking and no-watering requests.

Public Works staff members are now identifying additional groups of streets that would benefit from the high-density mineral bond. This treatment preserves streets that are structurally sound for an additional five years, slowing down the degradation process so that more comprehensive repairs can be deferred, thereby saving taxpayer dollars for streets that need more extensive work.

The City appreciates residents’ patience during these summer months when multiple projects are in the works in an effort to avoid school-related traffic. For more information about the City’s five-year strategic street plan, please visit www.bedfordtx.gov/streetplan.
