City Seeking Experienced Developers to Fulfill Vision for Bedford Commons
0Comments

Bedford recently issued the following announcement.

The City of Bedford is soliciting Requests for Expressions of Interest (RFEI) from development companies for the Bedford Commons mixed-use project. Approximately 30 acres, Bedford Commons is located south of Bedford Road, between E.M. Bilger Jr. and Parkwood Boulevards.

The property is within the recently created TIRZ #1 (Tax Increment Reinvestment Zone), which will allow property tax revenue to fund the construction of streets, intersections, as well as the installation of streetlights, drainage systems, landscaping, and other infrastructure on undeveloped land.

The objective for this solicitation is to explore public-private partnerships with interested and capable development firms to execute a catalyst project for the Bedford Commons area. City officials are particularly interested in creative development programs and a compelling vision that features a mix of uses at the site to maximize the site’s potential.
