Two facilities – the Main Library and the East Boulder Recreation/Community Center – will remain closed throughout the rest of this week and through Monday, Jan. 2.

  • The East Boulder facility, which is undergoing cleaning after its emergency use as a warming center, will re-open the morning of Tuesday, Jan. 3.
  • No definitive re-opening date has been set for the Main Library, at 1001 Arapahoe Ave. The city is awaiting a final report and health department recommendations as a result of environmental testing in the building. The city is committed to providing a library update to the public on Monday, Jan. 2. The earliest possible date for re-opening is Tuesday, Jan. 3.

The following holiday schedule applies to all other public-facing facilities:

Friday, Dec. 30

  • West and East Age Well Centers will be closed all day.
  • Branch libraries and the north and south recreation centers will be open normal hours.

Saturday, Dec. 31

  • The North Boulder Recreation Center will be open from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
  • All other city facilities, including branch libraries, will be closed.

Sunday, Jan. 1, 2023

  • The North Boulder Recreation Center will be open from 8 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. to host the New Year’s Fitness Jam.
  • All other city facilities, including branch libraries, will be closed.

Monday, Jan. 2, 2023

  • All branch libraries and Age Well Centers will be closed.
  • The north and south recreation centers will be open normal hours.

Parking is free in city garages, parking lots and at on-street pay stations beginning at noon on Friday, Dec. 30 and Saturday, Dec. 31, and then all-day Sunday, Jan. 1 and Monday, Jan. 2.
